Original Clay Sculptures - Horse sculptures, wildlife sculptures, figurative sculptures by Equus Studio - equine artist / clay sculptor Jen Pratt - Sculpture is a unique art experience that must be observed over time to be fully appreciated. As a freestanding work of art it can be viewed from numerous angles, and changing light sources accentuate the form differently each time you look at the sculpture.
Original clay sculptures are even more unique; when you touch the surface, your hand follows a path that was not created by a tool, or by machine, or transferred from another medium; it’s the exact paths and grooves that the artist’s hands created.
About the Clay Medium - Clay sculptures are sturdy, durable, and extremely attractive. They have so many finishing options that no two sculptures look exactly alike! They last for generations - some antique clay horses, pottery, and other clay sculptures still exist from periods such as the Han dynasty in China (approx. 1500 - 1800 years ago).

Pottery Sculptures vs. Larger Original Sculptures:
- Same quality and materials,techniques, and processes as original sculptures
- every pottery sculpture is one-of-a-kind ( ooak ), just like original sculptures
- Same level of detail as original sculptures
- Much smaller than original sculptures, usually 6" high or less
- Less time to sculpt and finish, due to size and simpler themes
- Fewer materials used, about 1/8 to 1/4 the amount as used for original sculptures

Limited Edition Prints -specialties include horse drawings - All limited edition prints from Equus Studio are archival, professional quality prints that resist yellowing and the damaging effects of light for up to 100 years. Our printing process uses a 10 color Lucia pigment ink system with a 3 picoliter ink drop size. Each print contains a max. dpi of 4800 x 2400, for an astonishingly crisp, true to life print. In fact, it's difficult to distinguish the original drawings from their limited edition prints! Prints are sealed in a protective photo art bag to prevent smudges and to further reduce the risks of yellowing.

Artist Trading Cards (ATC) have been around for years. They are traded between artists as a way to collect and enjoy a small part of another artist's work. ACEO's are an extension of this idea; they allow people to collect and enjoy an artist's work, but they are available to everyone, not just other artists.
ACEO's from Equus Studio are archival and meet the same quality standards as my limited edition prints, and are hand-signed and dated by me, the artist.
